A standard 1950s developers box house on Parkside Avenue that has been completed turned around and re-orientated towards the south facing garden. The remodelled house includes double height spaces and references to the dramatic and hidden sources for lighting spaces in Baroque churches; influences from the work of John Soane are also evident in the entrance and  main living areas. Internally the architecture of this house is influenced by the spatial theories and attention to detail of the English Free School/ Arts and Crafts movement and also the Roundplan concept of Austrian architect Adolf Loos: a complex series of centralized interlocking spaces within a simple overall volume.
